I waited 4 years for this moment
It’s CRAZY to think that this project is 5 years old
This game never got any popular or anything like that, in fact, I get an average of 2 players each day, which is really awesome, but, compared to other games of the genre, this is practically anonymity.
Still, somehow, I still care deeply about it, so much that I pay $5 evey month since 2021 to keep the server running (that’s about $180 so far, in my country thats actually a lot) even with basically 0 players online.
When the first version was finished, it had a simple system for data persistance: your data was saved locally on your device, which means, if you play on computer ‘A’ and reach level 20, then logged on computer ‘B’, you’d start a fresh level 1.
It worked, but sucked, and stayed like that for 4 years.
Ever since its inception, I wanted to add some kind of ‘Google integration’, to persist character data in the users’ drive and whenever you went on to play the game, you could just log into your Google account and BAM! There’s your character, no matter which device you’re logging in.
Guys I love this anonymous, forgotten game so much, that this week I ACTUALLY IMPLEMENTED IT. Yes, 4 YEARS later, I found the courage to try and implement it, and it works beautifully (I’m so freaking proud).
I invite anyone reading this to try for yourself, if you don’t have another computer, the game also works on mobile (kind of).
Thank you so much for reading and thank you for playing!
